Bruce Kreiger, our Class President, passed away on October 28th after a long illness. Many will remember Bruce as an outgoing, multi-talented young man. He played trumpet in the Senior and Dance Bands as well as singing in many JHS and HS performances. He was also very civic-minded and involved in many community activities, which may have contributed to his becoming a lawyer.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Lin, 2 sons and grandchildren.
Bruce will be missed.

Judy Steinberg (Blancher)
Bruce was warm, bright and friendly, we played music together and were in a class sing and had many classes together as well. I believe Bruce had diabetes and was very open about it which I had enormous respect for. We never stayed in touch after high school but he has pto mind mind many times and always in an especially fond way. Bruce was a natural leader--strength and condolences to his family. Sincerely, Judy Steinberg Blancher

Bruce Kreiger, my first boyfriend at the age of 9! What a great friend, great son, great brother, and what a wonderful human being. We all knew too well the struggles he had with diabetes, even at a young age, and yet he handled it all like a mature adult. He taught us all so much about love and life and humility and kindness.
I am sure he was a wonderful husband and father, and to his family we extend our most sincere sympathy. Too bad such a great individual is gone so soon. May he rest in peace, he certanly deserves it.

So sorry to get this news. I didn't know Bruce well, but I have such a clear memory of his sweet smile and the joy he gave us all as a member of the dance band. Deepest sympathy to his wife and family.
Johanna Oliva (Panariello)
Bruce was never without a smile on his face and a kind word or greeting for everyone. I remember being in the band with him and his performances on stage. Too young to go and I am sure he will be sorely missed by his family and friends. The stars in the sky will be a bit brighter from now on.
Our deepest sympathies to his family.

How does one say goodbye to a friend for over 65 years. We grew up in the same building in the Bronx attended the same schools, from elementary thru high school, we shared the joys and sadness of youth. I'm the last of the 1025 Boynton Ave boys, Billy Oransky, Bruce and me. Bruce and Lin were the first to see me upon my return from Vietnam, something's you never forget. Rest in peace Bruce you will be in my thoughts.

Enjoyed the great days in orchestra and dance band playing trumpet with Bruce. A true professional musician and friend during my years at James Monroe. A fond memory of the night Bruce led the dance band and a cha cha started and i asked Bruce permission to enter the dance contest with Barbara Klein. We won and i still have the Dave Brubeck album from that dance. We all had fun and he will be missed. Rest in peace. Bookie
