Barbara Klein (Goldstein)

Barbara Klein (Goldstein)

Barbara Klein was born 1/17/44 and passed 6/18/2024.

Barbara was a mother to many, though she only had two children: Karen Stacy and Mark Anthony. She was a wife to Neil Goldstein and Grandmother to Noah Joseph. Barbara’s legacy will continue to live on in all of those dear and near to her.

Barbara, diagnosed with frontal lobe dementia, battled this horrible disease like the dynamo she was. Her strength and will to live far exceeded any disease. Not even her body could keep up with her will, never wavering even when her body did. Barbara is best known for being a dancer, ballerina and the artistic director of the Bronx Dance Theatre. She also started a public school dance program and had dance regents implemented after she went back to school and graduated with a masters in her 50s!!!

If you knew Barbara, you would know that dance was her world. She was in a car accident in the 80s and was told she would never walk again. Well, that didn’t stop her. She proved them wrong and danced!!!

Married to her loving husband for over 60 years, Neil’s unwavering love and support kept her fighting. He never left her side. Staff at the facility she was cared for stated, “You showed us all what love looks like…”.

Barbara left a huge footprint on life and we know she is finally dancing again.

May the “red shoes“ take you to the heavens.

Encore!
