So sorry to get this news. I remember John from junior high school. What a nice, quiet guy. But...I do remember the day in junior high school when John gave the teacher a piece of his mind...and rightly so! I forget why, but I was impressed with how he stood up for himself. My deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
I didn’t know John well, but he moved to Chester many years ago and by chance we met while having our vehicles serviced at the same repair shop. It was like old times, and we bonded as Monrovians. Seemed like a real gentle man. He indicated that he was going to move back to the Bronx, and we discussed that as well and all the friends and teachers we missed as students.

I remember him. A nice guy, easy to talk with. Sorry to hear of his passing.
